Cannot Start fbserver.exe on Windows 7 64 bits [CORE4918]

After a firebird installation with a Windows executable installer ("Firebird-2.5.4.26856_0_Win32.exe" and "Firebird-2.5.4.26856_0_x64.exe" with Run as administrator), neither fbserver.exe nor fb_inet_server.exe process is present in the task list.
But the service "FirebirdServerDefaultInstance" is Running.

I have tried to check in logs but there is nothing. Maybe I do not know how to set logs on fbserver.exe

If I run manually the command "fbserver.exe -s DefaultInstance", it is not running. Sometime process is visible 1/4 second in the task list.

Addditionnal test:I can run fbserver.exe with switch -a and it is running but I does not help as I cannot connect to database.

If additionnal tests are necessary, please let me know.

I have also tested without UAC, without firewall and without antivirus.

Sebastien,

1. fbserver -s is used when Firebird run as a service, i.e. it should not run with this switch if run manually
2. fbserver -a is correct way to run Firebird as application. And its work, good
3. "I cannot connect to database" - how can we help with such description ?
