Feature request: public access to decimal separator and other locale information in $locale

Currently only the id is available in the public API. The decimal separator and other locale information is not. It would be nice if this information is also available in $locale.

Quick question - by default, could we not update these $locale files and store them in our app?

Note that this is already accessible, although not documented in the docs.

You can do something like this:

angular.module('App').run(function($locale) {

  //Set number formats
  $locale.NUMBER_FORMATS.CURRENCY_SYM = '€';
  $locale.NUMBER_FORMATS.DECIMAL_SEP = ',';
  $locale.NUMBER_FORMATS.GROUP_SEP = '.';
})

And this will overwrite angular's defaults.

@Narretz I would also argue that the severity and frequency of this issue should both be higher, as more than half the world doesn't use the default values that are currently set in $locale. For example in various countries in Europe, the group/decimal separators are the opposite of what they are in the US.
