  • code-server --version: 3.10.1

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open code-server in my browser
  2. open a new terminal

Expected

i expect that the bash prints my customed MOTD(Message of The Day)

Actual

the new bash doesn't print my MOTD(Message of The Day in /etc/motd)

Does this issue happen in VS Code?

  • I cannot reproduce this in VS Code.

Are you accessing code-server over HTTPS?

  • I am using HTTPS.

Notes

the new bash terminal also couldn't print messages like "Last login: Fri Feb 11 10:14:59 2022 from " , I don't know what the reason is .
i want to inform the users some messages by MOTD
