Different file function under windows and mac

Description

I am using Windows and Mac as my working computer. However, it is kind of annoy that I can open folder in Windows but I cannot do it on Mac. I have add folder to workspace and remove the old folder. Can you please make it work the same way on all OS? Thank you.
