@chrismwendt I did vsce package and installed the resulting package locally.

It does not do anything. Is there a specific way to create the package now?

I think I forgot to update https://github.com/alanz/vscode-hie-server/blob/0c6d2653c3a79205d07e9aa332deb9125975594d/package.json#L27 to dist in #160

Found by looking in the logs for the extension host:
