v3.0.0 Saves file on every action with file (?)

When i try to discard git changes of local .CLS file, all file changes disappear from Source Control tab but one second later objectscript extension starts autosaving this file, no changes are made after save but file becomes "changed" for Source Control tab with actually no changes at all but still displayed in Source Control tab.

When i try to discard changes again, it starts autosaving again, file disappears for one second and then appears again. And it seems like there is no way out of this "loop" (metaphorically).

Using git reset --hard doesn't help when vs code is opened. Can i disable this somehow?

This none option helps but now it doesn't save on Ctrl + S

vscodeOnly doesn't help either, Discard All Changes in Source Control tab leads to same problem

Hi @cvertee, yes this behavior was changed for 3.0.0. See this Developer Community post, and the CHANGELOG. The vscodeOnly setting value should function like version 2.12.10, which is what you want. Can you use that value take a screen recording with the ObjectScript Output channel visible so I can exactly what is being synced?

I have the same/related issue. I lost the unit tests I was writing because the file got deleted from my hard drive. I tried all 3 settings for syncLocalChanges without success. Ended-up reverting to latest 2.x for now

@GendronAC Can you describe your problem in more detail? I wonder if yours is different.

I think there is some sort of race between VSCode, IRIS and perhaps the git Extension. I was writing a testcase, pressing CTRL+S a few times along the way. I think the last time it occured I did a CTRL+Z and both my implementation and testclass disappeared from VSCode.

I was able to record it live with snag it :) I will send you a private link to the recording. All I did is write a few lines then press CTRL+Z a few times. You'll see in the log "Deleting class Tests.Unit.chs.RAMQ.Services.CTestPairingService"
