[TODO] Fix automatic tests (for PR check) so they stop failing

At some point, we had automated tests on the main repo that did not fail. At some point, it seems we switched to Github Actions for test-running. Which is fine, but now macOS regularly fails. These need to be fixed permanently and reliably.
