Can't set commit message when merging

When I merge two commits, I can't set a commit message, so I'm stuck with a default message of 'Merge commit SHA'. Is there a way to set a custom commit message? If not, please add overrides to the Repository.Merge function that takes in a commit message.

Can't you just set MergeOptions.CommitOnSuccess to false and then create commit manually with custom message?
