change name to to_string is better ?

The ToString trait already provides a to_string function which does the same. It should already be implemented since those types implement Display, so I think to_str can just be removed.

I was actually looking through those types today and they could really use a refactoring. I believe we might be able to reuse types from std and get rid of some of our custom types. I was going to write an issue for it, but got lazy.
