Reproducible Example

import pandas as pd
df = pd.DataFrame({"a": [0]}, index=pd.DatetimeIndex(['2020-01-01'], freq=pd.DateOffset(years=1)))
df.to_hdf("foo.h5", key="data")

Issue Description

Get an error: TypeError: n argument must be an integer, got <class 'pandas._libs.tslibs.offsets.DateOffset'>

Expected Behavior

Save the dataframe without an error.
