BUG: inplace ignored for empty DataFrame by DataFrame.interpolate

Reproducible Example

pd.DataFrame().interpolate(method="linear", inplace=True)  # should return None

Issue Description

The above returns the empty DataFrame.

Expected Behavior

Returns None
