XML representation of POD DCAT profile

I'm looking to implement an XML representation of POD DCAT (actually already have something working), but am lacking some reference on the specific XML schema to use. Also trying to understand how POD DCAT profile relates to the EU DCAT Application Profile released recently for public review. Is there harmonization between these profiles happening?

I had asked about an XML schema over on the EU GeoDCAT-AP repo and they referred to http://demo.thedatatank.com/dcat/demo. might be interesting to look at that for comparison (and harmonization).
