Rails console glitch on 1.1.0

Thank you guys for your work on 1.1.0, I'm always excited to look at the changelog when I see that a new version is released.

I noticed a tiny glitch on 1.1.0. When I rails c, and the console opens, then the current line is gone. When I type something and click "enter", then the cursor goes to the next line, and the previous line appears. I wouldn't be so bothered with this if I could properly use the arrow keys while I'm typing :P

Could you please check this in any of your Rails projects.

I tried in my application and could not reproduce this. Could you create an application reproducing?

It seems to happen only when pry is used as Rails console. Should I open an issue there?

Just if anyone comes, switching from pry-rails to "Pry Everywhere" fixes the problem:

Hi guys, this might be related to readline built with libedit. See 95bca40 and the stuff linked in that commit message.

@jonleighton The problem isn't with libedit. It appears to be that loading Readline pre-fork makes it introspect on its environment, realize it isn't in a real terminal, and then remember that forever.

We're about to release a workaround in pry-rails (require pry later), and will later fix it in pry (require readline later).

Edit: I think we're just going to fix it in pry and skip the pry-rails workaround.

@rf- ok, makes sense thanks. it might be possible to fix the problem in spring by reopening STDIN here or something similar, but I'm currently on a trip til 4th Feb so probably won't have a chance to play with it til after then. (Feel free to investigate yourself if you like though...)
