Latest release is broken in Neovim unless enabling new logging option

Release 1.44.0 broke the Neovim LSP client printing only an obscure error with some minified LSP code. (In screenshot below.)

I enabled the new incrementalTypechecking.debugLogging option to try to get more info, and to my surprise just enabling that option fixed the problem.

I'm not sure what's going on, but let me know if I there's more information I could provide to help.
