Build from source fails

I am following through the steps in README, however when executing bsc -I . -c hello.ml, I get:

File "js_implementation.ml", line 87, characters 24-31 Compilation fatal error, stacktrace saved into bsc.dump when compiling hello.ml
Fatal error: exception Failure("File \"config_util.ml\", line 69, characters 36-43 Pervasives.cmj not found ")

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I am using OS X.

hi, I would suggest you take the easiest way, npm install -g bs-platform
build from source, bsc -I ../runtime -I ../stdlib -I . -c hello.ml should work, you need explicitly include the path to stdlib and runtime, this is automatically included when you use npm

Indeed, bsc -I ../bucklescript/jscomp/runtime -I ../bucklescript/jscomp/stdlib -c hello.ml worked for me, thanks!

But doesn't it mean that the step 4 in Build from source suggests wrong command? Because we are in a separate directory. Should I create a pull request?

Yes, PR is appreciated, but we should explicitly tell where we create hello.ml
