Should we write attributes as `#[attribute_name]`?

Due to how they've been written in the past, we write attribute names as just the names in code blocks. To make it more clear that they are attributes, should we make it a convention to put them in their brackets (#[]) when referring to them?

This might require a meeting to make a decision.

Historically, I’d write

when you use ‘#[no_mangle]’,

Or

when you use the ‘no_mangle’ attribute,

Depending on which I feel like. I’m happy to go with whatever everyone wants.
