Unrecognized options crash rustc

This may be a problem with unwinding in general on OS X 10.9.

That's unusual, I'm running osx 10.9 and everything unwinds correctly for me. This'll be difficult attempting to reproduce, but this also may be magically fixed by #11103

I didn't go for a bisect but things seem to be fine on current master

The error message could be shorter and even more human-friendly by not exposing task failures, though;)

Ugh, I was using a branch that was three months old. Since I rebased it, the commit dates were changed and this mislead me into thinking I was on a recent checkout.

Apologies for the noise; I should know better than this.

[I get the same output as @spaolacci with latest master. I'd also prefer not to see the "task failed" messages, but it's technically not a crash so closing issue.]
