Hi All! A lot has happened with this library in the last year since I've been working to maintain with @sandeepmistry so I wanted to kick off a conversation about future releases.

Going over 0.5.0...master

it appears 3 new bit of functionality have been added.

• non blocking functions added #62 non blocking functions added
• Add function to invert IQ signal register #179 Add function to invert IQ signal register
• sx127x 20dBm support 2 #153 sx127x 20dBm support

I believe people are using the non-blocking functionality and that alone probably warrants a release. I'm proposing tagging a new release (0.6.0) with these changes and starting a checklist for the next.

Things I would like to see in the post-0.6.0 release.

• CAD Detect (CAD detection #50 and/or About CAD implementation #221)
• Address REG_FIFO_ADDR_PTR concerns (Any reason for resetting REG_FIFO_ADDR_PTR in LoRaClass::handleDio0Rise() ? #218 Issue with LoRa.read() #222)
• Update docs if/where needed (Better documentation for APIs #210)

Things I'd like to see in 1.0.0

• Test suite
• ?

All that features sounds pretty cool, i think that CAD detect would be more than perfect for the 0.6.0, i would like to add to the DOCs that this library is not compliant with LoRaWAN cause its a common doubt

0.6.0 has been released!!! (yay party, emojis!)

Unfortunately between lack of a viable PR and my lack of testing hardware CAD detection never made it in. But I think this release is still important to not let this driver fall behind.

Here's a copy of my release message from PR #282 Let's start a conversation about the next release and specifically what it will take to get CAD detection in. I will have new hardware that will allow me to help test very soon.

Is it really happening?

My first time pushing a release, not sure how this will go with the Library Manager but will be keeping an eye on it.

I appreciate all the contributors to this release and the patients of everyone giving input on issues. Feedback appreciated, I've created an Issue tag for 0.6.0 specific issues. Hopefully this goes smoothly and we can start addressing some of the current PRs and Issues.

If someone has an idea of what they'd like to see in the next release feel free to start something looking like a roadmap.

Once someone submits a full pull request. Until recently I have not had hardware that supported it so I haven't done it myself. After the new year I should have time to do it.
