Allow specifying directories per maker

We're attempting to use a layered architecture, which means our directory structure is a bit different from the standard. We still love to use this bundle, but it would be great for us if we could specify the 'root' directory per type of maker. I know we currently are able to provide the 'root' directory, but we need a bit more control per maker.

Is this something that could be added? If so i'd be willing to provide a PR if you can point me in the right direction.
